Our mission statement calls us to work throughout the Presbytery of Tamaulipas to
build up local churches and show God’s love to his people. Historically, our work with mission teams has been focused on Reynosa, but in recent years we have branched out to other churches and communities in the Presbytery. 
 
†Reynosa

Reynosa is a large industrial center of over 1,000,000 people along the US border, near McAllen, Texas. Puentes de Cristo has long had a presence in Reynosa. We have a dormitory facility here to receive mission teams and other visitors to the area, as well as an after school programs. We work with three Presbyterian churches in Reynosa: El Buen Pastor, El Buen Samaritano, and Esmirna Presbyterian churches.

 

† Rio Bravo

Rio Bravo is a smaller city, not far from Reynosa, also along the US / Mexico Border, near the town of Donna, Texas. In Rio Bravo, Puentes de Cristo works with Berea Presbyterian Church.

 

† Matamoros

Matamoros is a large, historic border town near Brownsville, Texas, about 15 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Matamoros is also a center for industry, as well as for short-term tourism from Texas. Puentes de Cristo has ties to **** Presbyterian Church in Matamoros.

 

† San Fernando

San Fernando is a mid-sized city about two hours south of the US border towns of Reynosa / Matamoros. Puentes de Cristo is involved with the ministry of a rapidly growing, newly chartered church in San Fernando, **** Presbyterian Church. We have yet to receive mission teams in San Fernando, but the church there is eager to work with US groups in the

 

† Saltillo

Saltillo is a large manufacturing center in the mountains of North / Central Mexico, about three hours southwest of the border city of Laredo, Texas. It’s one of the oldest and most prosperous cities of the region and has developed extensively in recent years thanks to sound governance. Puentes de Cristo mission teams have worked with Eben-Ezer Presbyterian Church in Saltillo.

 

† Ciudad. Victoria

Cd. Victoria is the capital of Tamaulipas State, and it’s located about four hours south of Reynosa, and two hours from Tampico’s international airport. There are a number of Presbyterian congregations in Victoria, and we’re eager to begin working with mission teams there.

 

† Cd. Mante

Ciudad Mante is located about 90 minutes south of Cd. Victoria, near the foothills of the Sierra Madre Oriental mountain range. Puentes de Cristo mission teams have worked with *** Presbyterian Church in Ciudad Mante, and we look forward to continued relationships with this church.

 

† Tampico

Tampico is a large, historic, port city on the Gulf of Mexico, about six hours south of the US border (Tampico is also served by an international airport). P
