Lodging. Mission teams with Puentes de Cristo have several options for lodging. Groups that will be working in the Reynosa area have the option of staying in Puentes de Cristo’s dormitory facility in Reynosa, which has men’s and women’s dormitory with bunk beds (bring your own bedding) situated around a shaded central courtyard. The facility also has a large kitchen for preparing meals as well as enclosed parking space for up to five vehicles. See dorm pics.

Groups also have the option of staying with local churches, whether on the church grounds themselves or with families from the church. The capacity of individual churches for receiving groups changes, of course, so it’s important to plan this aspect of the trip early. Puentes de Cristo can also help make arrangements at local hotels if local churches are unable to host a group, or if visiting groups would feel more comfortable in hotels.

Meals: Groups have a lot of flexibility in their meals. Groups staying in Reynosa have access to a kitchen, and there are large, modern supermarkets nearby athat accept debit/credit cards, as well as cash (US dollars or pesos). Puentes de Cristo can also provide cooks to prepare meals for those groups staying at the dormitory. Cooks are available for all three meals, but many groups choose to make their own breakfasts and lunches, and have cooks prepare their dinners. When others are cooking for you, we make sure that food is prepared hygienically so people can enjoy the trip! Finally, many groups eat at a restaurant once or twice during a week, and we’re glad to help pick a restaurant, though groups should plan their budgets accordingly.
