Like a lot of children everywhere, there are lots of students in Reynosa who could use a little extra help with their homework, a mentor to help them with the challenges of growing up, or just a safe and friendly place to play and study after school. In response to this need, Puentes de Cristo, in cooperation with local Presbyterian Churches, offers a tutoring program to the children of Reynosa’s Lucio Blanco neighborhood where the students can get help with their homework from a professional educator, as well as enjoy the safe, spacious facilities of our community center. Since money is tight in many of the children’s families, nutritious breakfast and lunches are provided to the students (at no cost) before they head off to school in the afternoon.
